My first Blog

So I've been playing with the idea of writing a blog. I don't know if anyone will ever read it I'm not even sure why I wanted to to do, but I thought there really isn't anything to lose so what they hay!

Then came what to write about, it didn't take long for a blog to "present" its self to me. I got a call..... Simple enough right? Didn't recognize the number so I answered in my Sweet Simply Caroline voice. The lady on the other end identified herself she works for Maximus, the local child support office.

I'm going through a divorce. This has been going on for 2 years. With a world wind of emotions. I really thought that my husband and I could divorce and co-parent successfully, but that is not the case.... that would be waaaay to easy. Long story short, I am receiving less than 1/3 of the child support I should be because the last judge that we saw in Juvenile Court 2 years ago gave him "credit" for having the kids 2 weeks out of the month..... he has them 4 days. So needless to say there has been an huge financial hardship placed on me, but back to the call.

See my recent passion for writing has been fueled by the need to write "people in power." In Juvenile Court at the State Level with the department of Human Services, my appointed city leaders, and even my local news paper. I have been trying to get a court date for child support modification since April......I don't know if you've checked, but its October. I finally got into court, and my case was post-poned again, until FEBRUARY!!!  The nice lady on the other end of the phone explained how she understood my frustration, and she was so sorry I was going through this, alas, there was nothing she could do.

Which seems to be the answer I get A LOT!

From the City Mayors Office: "Sorry that court is out of our Jurisdiction"

From the County Mayors Office. "Well, I spoke with a supervisor at Juvenile Court, unfortunately there's nothing we can to speed up the court date"

Supervisor from Juvenile Court "Yeah, that's too bad, it looks like a decision was made without know all the facts, and unfortunately, there's nothing we can do"

From Department of Human Services "file a complaint"

Nobody wants to hold the big bad smelly diaper. Everyone is willing to admit, yes you were wronged, yes your children are suffering because of it, they all yell "NOT IT" as if we're back on the playground and its time to pick someone to play tag.

Time is running out.... I'm sure I'll have more to write about until then
